How it Works

MindMosh allows users to hold real-time brainstorming sessions just like you would in the office, using a whiteboard and sticky notes! But with the added power of Twitter you can now take ideas from the crowd!

When you set up a MindMosh session you create your whiteboard, decide who to invite from your contact list and when to start the session. You choose the board name, the topic to be brainstormed, and whether to make your board public or private.

MindMosh will send an email invitation to your invitees. When the session starts the board will go live and anyone accessing the board can participate in the session fully.

If you have chosen to make your session public then the topic to be brainstormed is sent to all of MindMosh’s followers (and your followers too, if you have linked your Twitter account) with a unique hashtag. While the session is live, any tweets with that hashtag are pulled onto the whiteboard as sticky notes – so anyone can contribute an idea to your session!

At the end of the session the board will be closed to new ideas, but participants will still be able to vote until you close the board off – at which point it becomes ‘locked’. Only the board owner can access a locked board. But don’t worry if you change your mind and want to re-open it. You can. It’s your board!
